Calidona and the PGA of Europe have signed an agreement under which Calidona's courses will host the first PGA academies in Continental Europe.
Calidona's business model and the quality of its projects have, within a short time, become national and international reference points in promoting projects centred on golf courses in unique locations. Calidona's commitment to excellence and its desire to offer exceptional facilities have been recognized by the prestigious PGA with this unprecedented agreement, which will create golf academies at courses that Calidona is developing in Spain.
The first Calidona project, Roda Golf & Beach Resort, will host one of the PGA golf academies as well the provisional PGA offices, which will later move to Corvera, and will have the most advanced technology for use by golf professionals as well as amateurs. At a later date, Corvera Golf & Country Club will become the training school for the PGA of Europe, at which professionals from throughout the continent will be able to train all year round.
Rob Maxfield, Director of Development for the PGA says: "It brings us great pleasure to strengthen ties with Calidona and to witness the development of these world-class facilities, that not only will help the PGA of Europe to train the professional golfers of the future, but will also give players of all levels the opportunity to learn and to improve, from juniors up to elite golfers."
